Abstract

Prediction-enabled component technology (PECT) is an approach to predicting the behavior of systems built from components with known properties. An important artifact produced by the PECT development process is the documentation of the technologies, tools, and theories as integral elements of the PECT, as well as the results and conclusions of the application of the PECT to a group of systems. This report proposes a template for documenting a PECT. The report also provides guidelines and a few examples to help PECT developers consolidate the broad range of information produced into the PECT development process in a single, organized volume.
