This presentation gives an overview of CMU SEI's work in cyber workforce development in the areas of modeling, simulation, autonomy, and exercise development. Our goal is to enhance operational resilience, equip cyber operators with the most up-to-date tradecraft, and prepare operators for their missions. The presentation describes efforts to create formalized datasets for autonomous cyber operator model development, develop a formalized state space of cyber operations, and discover cyber operator gaps that require artificial intelligence (AI). The presentation also discusses the CMU SEI library of automated tasks for cyber operations, associated work on autonomous cyber operators, and an AI/machine learning (ML) cyber test bed.
