Matthew Butkovic interviews Dennis Allen on how the Cyber Workforce Development (CWD) team aims to reduce the cost and shorten the time required to build cybersecurity expertise and amplify that expertise to a globally distributed workforce. They discussed how CWD develops and integrates innovative tools and processes to train, exercise, and assess cybersecurity professionals and teams. They also highlighted CWD’s role in the 2019 President’s Cup Competition and the team’s plans for the 2020 event.
Lastly, Butkovic and Allen discussed the opening for a cybersecurity engineer, who will participate in research and development efforts designed to counter cybersecurity threats to our nation.
