Abstract

An organizational culture of granting decision-making authority to the lowest level (engineers/technical staff) is imperative to effectively adopting a DevSecOps culture. This shift will drastically increase overall speed of delivery, specifically within the DoD, where tool approval and technical decisions often must make their way up and down the organizational chain of command. In this webcast, Jeffrey Hamed and Shane Ficorilli discuss the foundational blocks for building a successful DevSecOps culture within a DoD software engineering group. Topics will include team organization, effective collaboration, baseline agile practices, treating security as a culture and implementing small but meaningful changes in your team’s process.
