Cyber threat reports and indicator reputation scoring are not new concepts. However, the perception of utilizing automation to enhance cyber situational awareness is a concept that has not been addressed extensively in previous research. With the push from the executive branch for automated information sharing, US-CERT’s Cyber Hygiene Project sought to enhance the ability of departments and agencies to share threat information. This presentation describes this project and its results.
