A former Chief Technology Officer for the SEI, Douglas Schmidt is now an SEI visiting scientist. He guides the SEI blog series that reports on new developments in software engineering research. He is also a tenured professor and associate chair of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Vanderbilt University.
