- Appraisers have to understand agility and CMMI.
- No fundamental contradiction was found between agility and CMMI for the maturity/capability levels two and three.
- "Core" agility is a set of principles, values, and framework, not a full processes model. Therefore, some CMMI aspects are not covered.
- CMMI has to be combined with elements from traditional development paradigms to make agility practicable in industrial product development.
- The mentioned appraisal methods are suitable for identifying gaps in agility "through CMMI glasses." They also help to institutionalize agility, particularly in a larger environment.
