The CERT Division Cyber Risk and Resilience Directorate at the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute offers a new position that provides opportunity both to impact real-world cyber operation and to lead rigorous cybersecurity research. This Technical Manager for the Cybersecurity Assurance Team leads a team of researchers, engineers, and analysts to create solutions that empower U.S. Federal Government and Department of Defense organizations to gain justified confidence in their cybersecurity posture.

The successful candidate for the Cybersecurity Assurance Team Technical Manager position will develop and communicate a technical vision and guide the execution of research and development work plans to assure a high degree of customer satisfaction.

The CERT Division is one of the nation’s premium cybersecurity equities, as one of the first cybersecurity research and development organizations. CERT Division cybersecurity assurance experts often lead the national conversation on critical infrastructure protection and supply chain risk management. For instance, the cybersecurity assurance team recently engaged with the World Economic Forum to create an online transformation map to address challenges and improve digital trust.
