Abstract

This presentation discusses two software tools that the SEI developed to create a realistic Internet experience in training environments that must be isolated from production networks for security reasons. The first tool, called GreyBox, is an open source emulation tool that provides the look and feel of an Internet backbone. The second tool, called TopGen, completes the look and feel of the Internet by providing functional equivalents to the top 500 host services on the Internet. This presentation describes how GreyBox and TopGen work together to deliver the complete package of a realistic Internet for disconnected networks.
