This information sheet highlights the findings of a 12-month study, led by Linda Northrop (Director, Research, Technology, and System Solutions Program), that brought together experts in software and other fields to to answer a question posed by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Army (Acquisition, Logistics & Technology): "Given the issues with today's software engineering, how can we build the systems of the future that are likely to have billions of lines of code?"
